Kick-off time confirmed for FA Cup final, police were involved in the decision

The 2023/24 FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United will kick off on May 25, 15:00 BST, it has been officially announced.

According to the Daily Mail, the Metropolitan Police opposed delaying the kick-off at Wembley Stadium due to concerns over crowd disturbances.

This went against FA's preference for evening kick-offs to attract larger TV audiences and could pose a potential commercial setback for them.

The decision, however, was welcomed by both sets of fans who now have a more convenient time for their journey from Manchester to London.
