Arsenal face Takehiro Tomiyasu blow before Man United trip

Arsenal could be in danger of having to travel to Old Trafford to face Man United without the sturdy Takehiro Tomiyasu.

That is because the Japanese defender was not seen in Arsenal’s latest training session on Tuesday (May 7) as they prepare for the upcoming game.

Tomiyasu had played the entire 90 minutes in te 3-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend, but might’ve suffered some issue that forced him to miss training.

IF he is unable to get back to full fitness before the game against Man United, then that could open up an opportunity for Jurrien Timber to be involved in the Arsenal squad.

Indeed, Timber is now fully fit and has already played a few games for Arsenal’s under-21 side – and he can also slot in as a left-back if needed against the Red Devils.

Timber, however, has only made one appearance for the Gunners in this campaign and will need to prove his quality in training to earn a starting place at Old Trafford.
