Havertz: 'Sometimes it's not fair in football ... We'll go again next year'

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League this season, just two points behind champions City.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Kai Havertz said after the Everton game: “It's sometimes not fair in football, but we have to accept it. Football is hard. I feel like we deserved more. Everyone.

“I feel sorry for all the Arsenal fans, for us, we gave it our best but it wasn’t enough.

“Maybe in two or three months we can say, ‘It was a good fight’, but right now, I feel like we deserved more. It wasn’t enough at the end, but we’ll go again next year.

“Right now, I can’t even think about that [next season] Just so frustrating, when you see them all [fans] here, it's tough. But I can tell them next year we are going to be even better team, and we are going to give everything next year again."
