Real Madrid are through to the Champions League final after beating Bayern 2-1 at the Bernabeu (4-3 agg). Here is how we rated the players in the second-leg comeback victory.
Joselu: 10/10. A guy comes from the relegated Espanyol side and gets a brace in the Champions League semi-final. Aged 34. What a story. What a player. Add him to the legends list on the club's website already.
Vinicius: 9.5. Crazy dribbling skills to create chances for his teammates, in particular Rodrygo in the 55th minute. Nearly scored with a wicked shot shortly before the interval. His shot led to the Joselu equaliser. Kimmich will have nightmares about Vinicius after this game, the Brazilian cooked him alive today.
Kroos: 9. A world-class performance. Made a crucial block to prevent an early Bayern goal. Bossed the midfield against his former club with insane passes. Gave the ball away once, causing a very dangerous counter-attack.
Lunin: 7.5. Confident between the sticks, great save on Kane in the first half.
Rudiger: 7.5. Let Davies take a shot which led to the Bayern goal. Assisted Joselu's winning goal with a lovely cross. Evens it out!
Valverde: 7.5. Put in a lot of energy, was a livewire in the midfield.
Modric: 7.5. Blocked what looked like a certain Bayern second goal. Brought a lot of creativity after coming on, too.
Carvajal: 7. Played absolutely insane passes and crosses from the right-hand side but was often beaten by Gnabry and Davies. Vacated his position leading to the Davies goal.
Bellingham: 5. Rather invisible today.
Rodrygo: 4. Left his scoring boots at home. Wasted a huge chance to score in the 13th minute, hitting straight into Neuer after a rebound. Then missed probably an even bigger chance, firing wide from close range after a Vinicius ball ten minutes after the break. Unlucky to not score from the free kick at the hour's mark.
