Guler – 9
What a game Arda Guler played today. Let's forget about scoring the winning goal for a minute, Guler was tremendous in defence too. His touches were deft and assured and he looked like a player who has been playing regularly for Real Madrid. It's now two La Liga goals in 90 minutes played in La Liga across six games and was duly named La Liga Man of the Match. Take a bow, Arda!
Carvajal – 8
Dani Carvajal is such a massive leader for Real Madrid. It was HIM who delivered that beautiful assist for Guler but beyond that, he was solid defensively making sure Real Madrid stayed compact until the end.
Modric – 7.5
This was yet another solid performance from Modric who again showed he still has the energy to fight for the shirt even on a difficult night such as this. For 84 minutes, Modric battled for every ball making a game-high 11 tackles and suffering 3 fouls.
Nacho – 7
Not a bad performance from the skipper tonight despite seeing that late yellow card. Nacho partnered well with Militao who is still rusty as he started his first game since September. Nacho finished the game by making 7 successful tackles and one interception.
Kepa – 7
Kepa was starting his first game since January and the nerves were expected but he dealt with them well. The Spanish goalie made three saves from three shots saved and kept a clean sheet. What more can anyone ask of him?
