Caught on camera: Kubo swaps shirts with Peru international, then throws it on grass and walks away

A rather bizarre episode featuring ex-Real Madrid's Takefusa Kubo occurred when Japan took on Peru in the city of Suita on Tuesday.

When the game was over, the Peruvian international Alex Callens, who happens to play in La Liga as well, approached Kubo to swap shirts, to which the latter agreed.

However, moments later, the Japanese winger asked his national team's staff for another shirt to put on, threw the swapped one on the floor and just walked away.

The footage immediately went viral on social media, sparking the outrage from La Blanquirroja fans.

After the episode, Take took to Instagram to make a public apology.

The player explained that he simply forgot about the shirt in his hand and did not mean to offend anyone.
