Man United will face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final next Sunday.
The Magpies will be without their first-choice goalkeeper, Nick Pope after he was sent off in the 2-0 loss to Liverpool on Saturday.
Incidentally, Martin Dubravka – who was recalled by Newcastle last month – is ineligible to play in the game.
That’s because he played for the Red Devils in the competition with the 4-2 win over Aston Villa earlier on.
Dubravka is in an interesting situation because of this. If Newcastle wins the final, he won’t be able to get a winner’s medal because he never played in the competition for them.
However, if Man United manage to win the final, the goalkeeper will get a winners medal and win his first trophy in England.
Loris Karius is expected to start in goal for Newcastle against the Red Devils next week.
