Liverpool advised Darwin Nunez to 'ignore' social media criticism

Journalist James Pearce has reported that Liverpool told Darwin Nunez to ignore the social media criticism he has been receiving lately.

The Uruguayan striker came under fire for his cameo against Spurs after which he removed all Liverpool-related posts on his Instagram.

“Darwin Nunez has been told numerous times by people at Liverpool to ignore that kind of thing," said Pearce.

"Don’t even look at it. I think especially last season, when things were tough, he was reading stuff online and it was really hurting him.”
