It seems like the Champions League game isn't a good enough reason to miss school! Borussia Dortmund's young talent Kjell Watjen did not travel with the first team to Paris because he had his high school exam. Don't worry, Watjen won't miss the match, however, compared to his teammates he has more reasons to stress.
Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund's sporting director, pointed out the distinct challenge that Watjen is grappling with amidst this demanding period.
"He is currently under exam stress," Kehl told BILD at the airport on Monday. "First, he has his high school exam on Tuesday. But afterwards, we will bring him to Paris, and he will be there on time."
Wätjen's journey to this moment has been impressive. Last Saturday, he got his big break, making his debut for Borussia Dortmund's main squad. Coach Edin Terzic showed strong belief in him right from the start.
Facing Augsburg, Wätjen not only played the entire game but also played a key part in Dortmund's convincing 5-1 win, setting up an important assist for Marco Reus.
