Unemployed Brazilian files lawsuit against Neymar after losing over €11k on betting

A Brazilian citizen has filed a lawsuit against Neymar Jr and other influencers who, he says, motivated him to place high bets with Blaze, a renowned sportsbook and casino.

The unemployed man claims to have spent 62,000 reals (€11,300) on gambling after watching Neymar, Felipe Neto (Brazilian Youtuber) and other celebrities promoting betting with Blaze during their live streams.

The plaintiff demands the influencers and Blaze not only to give him back the money he spent but also to pay him 1,000,000 reals (€183,000) for moral damages.

According to Zona de Azar, Neymar and other celebrities were using so-called training accounts to bet while streaming. These accounts use a different algorithm compared to regular ones, with bets more likely to come in.
