Chelsea are currently sixth in the league table and can climb to six if they win their remaining game and Spurs lose.
They can't reach the Champions League as there's an eight-point gap between the Blues and Aston Villa.
But a Chelsea fan nicknamed OohTamTammy has joked about how the Blues could end up in Europe's most prestigious competition.
"We can still mathematically get Champions League football this season. We just need Aston Villa to have committed gross financial fraud," OohTamTammy wrote.
Aston Villa recorded a loss of £120m, £15m more than allowed by the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules. However, a punishment is extremely unlikely because the overspending was overseen by the league and went to infrastructure projects and women's team, all deductible expenditure under the rules.
