It took Mikel Arteta almost one year to finally unpack Jakub Kiwior, according to Arsenal fans. Signed from Spezia, the 24-year-old initially struggled to make an impact.
At either left or centreback, Kiwior seemed not to understand his role. He was even speculated to be heading back to the Serie A on loan last month.
However, fast forward to this day, the Poland international is now an important squad member. Deployed on the left side of defence in Alex Zinchenko's absence, Kiwior has been majestic.
The faithful believe his fine form is because he is not required to invert like Zinchenko.
