'A masterpiece': Arsenal fans pick out praise for unsung hero in Burnley win

Arsenal maintained their impressive form in the Premier League with a massive 5-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor.

Bukayo Saka scored a brace, while goals from Martin Odegaard, Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz helped the Gunners get another major away win.

However, one player – who didn’t even score – earning a lot of praise is left-back Jakub Kiwior. He did get an assist for Havertz’s goal and was rock-solid defensively – winning four duels and making a few key challenges.

The Polish full-back was being rumoured to be at risk of being sold a few months ago, but is now seemingly primed to keep starting games. Fans have heaped praise on him, as they reacted on Twitter.

Matt Nunn: “Kiwior at LB is a masterpiece. 100% deserves his place and Zinny needs to see the bench as he’s defending is below the standard we need.”

The Legit-One: “Everyone was on form today... Kiwior was absolutely brilliant all day.”

Rory Talks Football: “When Kiwior is allowed to just be a defender Really impressed with how he’s stepped up.”

Hale End Productions: “Kiwior’s improvement in defending wide 1v1s over the past month has been enormous.”

Fakas: “One of the best in the league but people are not ready for that convo.”

Tanee: “Kiwior has been solid since returning from Dubai. Zinny and Timber will have to prove they are better.”
