Zinedine Zidane has announced his 24-man squad to face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg clash on Friday.
Surprisingly, the coach has decided against taking Gareth Bale to Manchester after the Welshman’s antics on the bench in the last few La Liga games. James Rodriguez has also been left out as his exit looks to be gaining pace.
Sergio Ramos has been included in the squad as he looks to motivate the squad from the stands. Eden Hazard is reportedly unfit for the game, but Zidane has still picked him in hopes of his recovery before the game.
Squad vs Man City:
Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Alphonso Areola, Diego Altube
Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Sergio Ramos*, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Ferland Mendy, Javi Hernandez
Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Isco, Fede Valverde
Forwards: Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Lucas Vazquez, Luka Jovic, Marco Asensio, Brahim Diaz, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo
