Surprise Premier League manager become 'strong contender' to potentially replace Ten Hag

Man United are considering the prospect of appointing Thomas Frank as their next boss if Erik ten Hag gets sacked, as per The Telegraph.

The Red Devils are yet to make a final decision on whether to continue with the Dutchman or not. But if they do sack him, then Frank is a ‘strong contender’ to take up the job.

The Danish manager has impressed Ineos with his work at Brentford, whom he helped get promoted to the Premier League in 2021 and stay in the division in the last three seasons.

Man United’s hierarchy believes that Frank can succeed in the new structure. They feel that he can help rebuild the club rather than be a short-term fix.

Even though the Dane is yet to manage a ‘big club’ in his career, his potential is what is attracting Ineos towards him.

He was part of the few managers who reportedly dined with Sir Dave Brailsford in his 60th birthday party earlier this year.

Frank has been Brentford manager since 2018, and has a 41.76% winning percentage after having managed 273 matches for them so far.
