Fans react as Liverpool lose TWO players to injury in 10 minutes in first half vs Brentford

Liverpool have a 1-0 lead in their clash with Brentford this evening but the Reds' lead has come at a cost.

Curtis Jones was withdrawn in the 34th minute of the first half after picking up an injury.

Diogo Jota set up Darwin Nunez's goal brilliantly but was injured soon after and was stretchered off in the 44th minute.

Jota's injury looked particularly bad as a Brentford player fell on his knee with his full weight.

Fans have been reacting to the injuries on social media with some highlighting this as the advantage Man City have over other teams.

LFCPhoto: "Yet another injury. This is how City win the league. They're not better in the second half of the season, they just have a £60m+ backup in every position. They outlast everyone. But we will fight to the end. If anyone can beat them, Jurgen can."

Pizzal: "Stomach churning that, giving me VVD/Pickford vibes."
