Liverpool are heavily linked with a summer move for Gladbach midfielder Manu Kone. As it turns out, the 22-year-old Frenchman is a Reds fan.
"It would be especially gratifying for Manu. I remember in his trial at Paris FC, he was dressed in a Liverpool kit, it's his favorite club," Reda Bekhti, a former youth coach at Paris FC, told Liverpool.com about Kone.
"Liverpool would be a very good step for him and a good career choice. He would be able to prove himself in the Premier League while playing for a club that is one of the most popular in England. In an environment like that, he could only progress and demonstrate his talent further."
Bekhti previously worked with another Liverpool player at youth level, Ibrahima Konate.
"Seeing two players we worked with at Paris FC become top players today in one of the biggest clubs in the world would be gratifying and rewarding for the training work we have established with these young people," the coach added.
