Manuel Neuer suffered a horrible injury after being involved in a skiing accident in 2022, in which he broke his right leg.
Speaking about that injury ahead of Bayern Munich’s UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid, Neuer stated: “I don't know what my life would be like if I couldn't play football again.
“If you asked the medical staff and rehab team, they wouldn't believe where I am today. I think probably only one or two people out of 10 would recover from that injury.”
Neuer has been able to make a full recover from the traumatic injury and has been in decent form for Bayern in the 2023/24 season.
The 38-year-old has kept 10 clean sheets in 28 appearances so far this season, including four in seven Champions League matches.
