Slightly over a week ago, it was widely reported that it was over between Spurs and Julian Nagelsmann before it began. Now the German manager is back in the frame for Tottenham, Duncan Castles reports for The Times.
However, Nagelsmann wants assurances over the club's next sporting director. He wants to know who will replace Fabio Paratici who was banned worldwide for 30 months following shenanigans when at Juventus.
Spurs have been in freefall following Antonio Conte's departure and are currently eight, only eligible for the Europa Conference League next season as things stand.
As for Nagelsmann, he's been out of job following his dismissal from Bayern Munich. Chelsea were interested in the 35-year-old coach but opted for Mauricio Pochettino, although it's yet to be made official.
