Messi sets historic all-time record

Leo Messi has become the first player in history to record 1200 goal contributions in official matches!

The Argentine made it possible by scoring a goal and hitting five assists against New York Red Bulls on Sunday.

Messi's career stats in official games are now the following:

- 833 goals;

- 372 assists.

672 goals and 303 assists out of those came at Barca.

Despite having an edge in goals scored, Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to reach these figures as he currently boasts 1,140 goal contributions.
