Barca see 'Lewandowski successor' in Liverpool star – sources

Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on Darwin Nunez, as per Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalans are eyeing the 24-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski after club president Joan Laporta declared his plans to revamp the attacking unit this summer.

If the Catalans do decide to offload the Pole, the Liverpool star, who has notched 31 goal contributions in 52 games for the Reds, is seen as his 'ideal' successor.

Acquiring Nunez would cost Barca a small fortune, though.

The Uruguayan's market value stands at a hefty 70 million euro and selling Lewandowski alone would not be enough – unless some Saudi Arabian side decides to splash a hundred million for the 35-year-old.
