Today, Barcelona lost 2-4 to Girona, dropping to the third place and officially giving Real Madrid La Liga title.
After the game, Barcelona fan named No_Imagination2780 shared his feelings about the game - and also named one Xavi's decision that cost us three points today.
"Allowing 8 goals to Girona this season is ridiculous. Idk what’s going on but they started to play exactly how they were before Xavi announced he was leaving. It’s crazy how bad the whole team played with a few exceptions.
"Why would you start Roberto when you have Raphinha, Fermin, and Pedri available? You could’ve easily started Pedri and Fermin or Pedri and Raphinha or any combination of those 3. But no, Sergi Roberto starts smh. This is why I was against signing him bc I knew that Xavi was not going to keep him on the bench but start him in important games when there’s clearly better players available. Roberto gifted them the second goal and everything went downhill after that.
"Also, WHY WOULD YOU BRING IN ROMEU WHEN YOURE DOWN BY 2 AND NEED TO SCORE GOALS!!! This team needs to work on their finishing too bc it’s been awful all season. So many wasted opportunities. It’s so frustrating and embarrassing."
To be honest, it's difficult to argue with this.
