Barcelona 'will consider bids' for Lewandowski sale, real reason revealed (reliability: 4 stars)

Barcelona manager Xavi recently added some fuel to the claims that the club might look to move on Robert Lewandowski in the summer transfer window.

He hinted that the Polish forward’s place at  the club remains uncertain and that they will make a decision on him at the end of the season.

After this, RAC1 claims that the club are actually ready to consider acceptable bids for the veteran forward in the summer window.

A major reason why Barca are thinking of selling Lewandowski is because of the massive €32 million wages that they could be forced to pay upon keeping him for the next season.

Even though the striker does not want to leave the club, that lingering issue could make the club look to sell him and sign a replacement instead.

The 35-year-old has scored 23 goals and provided nine assists in 35 appearances for Barca so far this season, and scored a hattrick in the recent win over Valencia.
