'Next season everyone will see': Palmer looking forward to playing more with Nkunku

"Everyone knows his quality, even from Leipzig, before he came here," Cole Palmer said about Christopher Nkunku after the Brighton game in which both of them scored.

"He’s been unlucky with injuries, but if he can get firing and get fit, you saw what he can do out there. I think next season everyone will see how good he actually is."

Nkunku was supposed to be the big star in a new-look Chelsea team before the start of the season. However, his first campaign was seriously affected by injuries, and he only featured in 13 games in all competitions.

In his absence, Palmer emerged as the most valuable player at Stamford Bridge, registering 22 goals and 10 assists in the league alone. Next season, the challenge will be to keep Nkunku fit and in sync with Palmer and the rest of the team.
