'It is looking doubtful': Gary Neville sends fresh Premier League title message to Arsenal after Tottenham defeat

Gary Neville isn't holding out much hope for Tottenham to help Arsenal in their quest to win the Premier League title. With Manchester City set to play Fulham before facing Tottenham in their extra game, Neville doubts Spurs can pose much of a challenge.

After Tottenham suffered a 4-2 loss to Liverpool, marking their fourth consecutive league defeat and conceding 13 goals along the way, Neville isn't optimistic about Ange Postecoglou's team troubling City.

He said: "Arsenal have got a job to do at Old Trafford next weekend and City have got a job to do at Fulham."

"But I think Arsenal fans, coaches and players, if you were looking at this Tottenham team and thinking can they somehow raise their game for that game a week on Tuesday, it is looking doubtful as you see them now in front of you."

Tottenham displayed glimpses of a potential comeback when Richarlison and Son Heung-Min scored in rapid succession. However, their efforts fell short of compensating for a disappointing first half.

This result leaves Tottenham only four points ahead of Newcastle in sixth place and on a downward trajectory. Manchester United could narrow that gap to just three points with a victory over Crystal Palace on Monday.
